Coach Dan Campbell is running to share the values of the people in Auburn & Minot. He cares deeply about the community, and will be a strong advocate for their interest in Augusta where the Legislature makes important decisions effecting the lives of people in the District and Maine.

Coach Dan is committed to being a State Representative who is responsive, engaged, and accessible to his constituents. He will work collaboratively in the State House to support policies that promote prosperity and provide opportunities for everyone to share in the benefits of a free, democratic, and just society based on the principles of liberty and equality.

Dan is committed to supporting high-quality public education, promoting economic growth, increasing affordable and accessible housing for everyone, and state policies that decrease local property taxes.

Coach Dan is a lifelong resident of Auburn. He was born and raised here, and graduated from Edward Little High School. He is married to his wife Shari and he has a son and three step children.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine Farmington. For 31-years he coached Track & Field, Cross Country, and Nordic Skiing at Edward Little High School and counseled students with substance use disorders. Dan also coached at St. Dominic Academy, University of Maine Farmington and Thomas College. He led his teams to 14 state championships, and 1 national championship. He was selected coach of the year 5 times, named counselor of the year by Governor McKernan and received the “President’s Award” from the Lewiston Auburn Sports Hall of Fame.

Dan was also chosen Citizen of the year by the Auburn Business Association, received the Mayor John Jenkins Hands & Hearts Leadership & Service Award in 2023 from the City of Auburn and the Volunteer of the Year Award from Androscoggin Home Health & Hospice. He has also served as president of the Auburn Suburban Little League.

In addition to his professional achievements, Coach Dan is an active member of the community. Currently he is a volunteer helping those who are homeless and is a board member at the Pleasant Street Drop-in Center. He enjoys running, bicycling, and fitness training.
